ODDSAC | Trailer

ODDSAC is an experimental film featuring psychedelic visuals and music by Animal Collective. More than four years in the making, the film, or visual album, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2010.

This looks like it's gonna be a monged, festive treat, and I can't wait to get my eyes on it!!!

Thrash Humpers (2009) by Harmony Korine TRAILER

“I was inspired by the idea of finding an artifact found in an attic or a videotape buried in a ditch,”  “I wanted to create something that was more like a feeling. I had to close my eyes and allow myself to get to a place where I could tap into ideas and images.” - Harmony Korine

Harmony Korine, writer of Kids (1995) and director of Julien Donkey-Boy (1999) returns with his follow up to his 2007 film Mister Lonely with what seems to be his most experimental and provocative film to date. The films style is one which mimics a worn VHS tape, and follows a "loser-gang cult-freak collective" who literally hump trash cans and perform other tasteless acts. Korine says that the inspiration for the film came from his observations of people in his neighbourhood while growing up in Nashville, Tennesse. The look of the film is a huge contrast from his last film, which was a fully fledged high budget production. It will be interesting to see if this film has any substance, or whether it will turn out being a pretentious low budget mess, with the sole purpose of shocking the audience. Either way, I look forward to it.

Fantastic Mr. Fox TRAILER

I'm loving it. He still manages to keep his trademark auteur style and apply it to stop motion animation. It looks wonderful, and funny. I'm really looking forward to it.

Coming Soon: First Feature Documentary About The Doors

Holy shit, this looks amazing. I cannot wait to see this. Just watch the trailer and you'll understand my excitement. Only if you're a fan of The Doors that is! The footage looks incredible.

Award-winning writer-director Tom DiCillo's riveting film uncovers historic, previously unseen footage from the illustrious rock quartet and provides new insight into the revolutionary impact of their music and legacy.

The creative chemistry of four brilliant artists - drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Kreiger, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, and singer Jim Morrison - made The Doors one of America's most iconic and influential rock bands. When You're Strange is the first feature documentary to tell their story. Using footage shot between their formation in 1965 and Morrison's death in 1971, it follows the band from the corridors of UCLA's film school, where Manzarek and Morrison met, to the stages of sold-out arenas.

Taking its title from the cabaret-tinged Doors hit "People Are Strange," the film chronicles the creation of The Doors' six landmark studio albums in just five years, as well as their electrifying live performances. Rare cinèma vèritè footage offers an intimate glimpse into their musical collaboration - and their offstage lives.

Bill Murray is the best!

Stuff like this is what make me want to move to New York. Also, the fact that I was planning on moving to Williamsburg anyway makes this even cooler.

Where The Wild Things Are TRAILER

This really looks amazing! It has the same look as 80s kids adventure films due to the use of suits and puppetry instead of completely relying on CGI. I can't wait for it!
